Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Meet requests from Institutional sales teams and clients, and provide strong research support to Group Wholesale Banking, Group Treasury and Group Investment Banking revenue pillars.
• Actively participate in marketing roadshows and client engagement initiatives, both domestically and in international markets, as assigned.
• Coach and mentor analysts and associates (management associates or interns) on fixed income ideation and production of fixed income strategy reports. The productions of fixed income strategy reports will be covering macro, fixed income relative values and thematically important sectors of the MYR bonds/sukuk space.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Income and research database of the FIC team in a timely and effective manner. To ensure all reports are updated periodically.
• Foster strong relationships and maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a collaborative approach to contribute to the development of a cohesive research output.
• Collaborate closely with senior management to enhance RHB's fixed income research capabilities and overall market visibility.
• Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements to uphold the highest standards of integrity within RHB's research team and its deliverables.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree/ Postgraduate qualification in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10 years of research experience in an established financial institution. Industry experience would be an advantage.
• Strong ability to write and present fluently in English.
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a solid understanding of the end-to-end research process.
