Job summary

A leading technology company in Penang is seeking a Senior Finance Specialist (contract) to oversee financial reporting activities, prepare monthly reports, and liaise with external stakeholders. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or a relevant qualification, preferably 8 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently. An audit background and knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle are advantageous. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Senior Finance Specialist - Financial Reporting (Contract)

Manage the activities of the Financial Reporting function

Prepare and present monthly financial reports and analysis to the senior management

Analyse monthly financial performance of the Company against KPIs, industry norms, budget and forecasts

Participate in the monthly review and closing process

Responsible for quarterly financial reporting to HQ

Liaise with external stakeholders like auditors, tax agents, bankers, government agencies regarding compliance matters, such as annual statutory audit and tax return

Support drafting of annual audited report and compile information for annual corporate tax exercise

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

  • An analytical, meticulous, organized and resourceful team player
  • A highly motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision
  • An audit background and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) will be an added advantage
