Job description

Borenos is looking for a strategic and hands‑on Senior Finance Manager to lead our finance function and drive financial excellence across the business. This role is critical in supporting the company’s growth and profitability, providing leadership in budgeting, financial planning, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a solid background in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of the finance function including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.

Provide timely and accurate financial reports, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Analyze and interpret financial data to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.

Collaborate with operations and other departments to monitor cost performance and enhance profitability.

Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.

Monitor and improve company performance KPIs, especially in food cost, labor cost, and overheads.

Lead and mentor a small team, building financial discipline and capability within the organization.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is strongly preferred.

Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior Finance role within the F&B industry.

Proven track record in financial leadership, budgeting, and business analysis.

Strong understanding of restaurant or retail food service operations, costing, and inventory control.

Familiarity with accounting systems and financial tools (e.g., SQL‑based ERP, QuickBooks, or similar).

Highly analytical with attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and growing environment.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
