A leading recruitment agency is assisting a client in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, to find a Senior Finance Manager. The successful candidate will oversee company accounts, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial standards. Applicants should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, be fluent in Mandarin, English, and Malay, and ideally hold a degree in Accounting along with professional qualifications. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee company accounts, drive financial performance through variance analysis, and ensure compliance with financial standards. Oversee company accounts: Lead the financial reporting process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Perform variance analysis: Identify trends, provide insights, and support strategic financial decisions.
Prepare internal and external reports: Communicate financial performance and compliance status to the Board and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance and implement controls: Uphold corporate policies and financial standards, and develop a robust budgeting control system.
Monitor cashflow and receivables/payables: Plan and oversee the company's financial health and liquidity.
Liaise with external auditors: Ensure all audit matters are addressed and resolved efficiently.
Group Accounting Expertise: Minimum 5 years related working experience with strong expertise on group accounting and consolidation.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar in accounting standards, MFRSs and conversant in Malaysian Companies Act and Income Tax Act to ensure compliance.
Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin, English and Malay for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and head office.
Educational & Professional Qualifications: At least Degree in Accounting, professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA or ACCA will be an advantage.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Proactive Attitude: Dynamic approach to challenges and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Professional Membership: Member of MIA is preferred for enhanced professional standing.
Audit Experience: With relevant audit experience in public listed companies and IPO will have an added advantage.
