Job description

Standalone role responsible for end-to-end finance and tax matters for Malaysia, with support for financial review of Hong Kong and Singapore entities. The role works closely with Group Finance and external auditors/tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Malaysia finance and tax matters, including compliance, annual filings, tax updates, and liaison with external advisors.

Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with MFRS, including reviewing entries prepared by Group Finance and preparing local financial statements.

Coordinate with Group Finance Shared Services (GL, AP, AR), resolve reconciliation issues, and support audit activities.

Monitor Malaysia regulatory changes (e.g. e-Invoicing) and support implementation.

Review financial accounts for Hong Kong and Singapore and flag abnormalities when identified.

Provide ad hoc finance support to the Malaysia office.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance and tax, preferably in retail.

Strong knowledge of Malaysia financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

Proficient in SAP and familiar with POS systems.

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.

Familiar with or willing to learn Singapore/Hong Kong reporting standards.

Experience in handling Malaysia e-Invoicing.
