A construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced accounting professional to handle the full set of accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and liaising with auditors. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the logistics and trading industry. Proficiency in accounting software and good communication skills are essential. Interested candidates should submit their CV/resume.
Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and month-end & year-end closing.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and schedules.
Review and approve invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Perform bank, sales, and balance sheet reconciliations; monitor AR/AP ageing.
Monitor cash flow, ensure accurate accounting records, and compliance with accounting standards.
Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.
Prepare and support audit, tax computation, SST, and statutory submissions.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management.
Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
Perform other finance-related and ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Key Responsibilities

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional accounting qualification.
Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience handling full set of accounts.
Prior experience in logistics and trading industry is an advantage.
Able to read and communicate in Chinese.
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Minimum 2–5 years’ relevant experience handling full set of accounts.
Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and general accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with good accuracy and time management skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in audit, taxation, or statutory reporting.
Familiarity with accounting systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
