Job summary

A leading firm in finance based in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Finance Executive to manage end-to-end accounting activities, including preparation of financial statements and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate should hold a finalist qualification in ACCA, CIMA or CPA, and possess strong skills in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Experience in SAP is a plus. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our Dubai-based entities while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting activities including Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Job description

Manage end-to-end accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Banking.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and accompanying schedules.

Maintain and review the Chart of Accounts; ensure postings comply with accounting standards.

Perform month‑end and year‑end closing, including necessary adjustments and reconciliations.

Handle multicurrency accounting, currency revaluation, and translation processes.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of internal and external financial reports.

System & Process Management

Set up, maintain, and improve accounting systems, workflows, and financial controls for Dubai entities.

Ensure robust governance over all financial transactions and approval processes.

Support procurement and purchase‑related system transactions such as PR, PO, GRN, and 3‑way matching.

Ensure seamless integration between finance systems and operational modules (procurement, inventory, etc.).

Tax, Audit & Compliance

Assist in tax computation, VAT‑related matters, and compliance for Dubai entities.

Liaise with auditors and coordinate interim and final audits.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, statutory requirements, and audit recommendations.

Operational & Cross‑Functional Support

Provide financial support and reporting to the Director for procurement‑related activities.

Collaborate with internal teams in Malaysia and Dubai to resolve financial and operational issues.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and other finance improvement projects as required. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
