Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and timely submission of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports for review by senior management, ensuring full compliance for accounting and taxes (SST, WHT, Income Tax).
- Conduct financial analysis on actual vs. budget/forecast figures and key operational costs, providing detailed explanations and insights to management for decision making.
- Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are met and all necessary adjustments are made.
- Review investment and funding opportunities to support on the Company's growth.
- Support the Company on its automation and transformation objectives for finance and operations.
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises by providing accurate historical data and contributing to the development of detailed financial models.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance team or accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting,
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end/year-end closing and liaising with external auditors.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and advanced capability in Microsoft Excel/Google sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of Malaysian tax and statutory compliance (SST, WHT, Income Tax, EPF/SOCSO).
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate financial reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating across departments and presenting financial data.
