Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage a full set of accounts, including AR, AP, and General Ledger. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry and be proficient in English. Responsibilities include tax computations, liaising with auditors, timely submission of e-invoices, and performing ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in cost accounting and manufacturing cost structures.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a full set of accounts including AR, AP, and General Ledger.
  • Tax computations and statutory reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders like auditors and banks.
  • Ensure timely submission of e-invoices.
  • Book self-billed invoices to MyInvoice portal.
  • Perform HR and Admin tasks as assigned.

Job description
  • Experienced in handling a full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger, and other related accounting functions.
  • Tax computations; preparing or submitting statutory reporting (Corporate Tax, SST, withholding tax etc.); liaising with auditors, tax agents, company secretary; statutory audits.
  • May coordinate with internal/external stakeholders (auditors, banks, tax authorities etc.).
  • Responsible for timely submission of e-invoice.
  • Prepare and book all self-billed invoices to MyInvoice portal. Ensure the completeness of the transactions and keep a record of e-invoice being validated.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks ie HR and Admin matter as and when assigned by Manager.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Candidates must possess bachelors degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 3 – 5 years working experience in cost accounting and manufacturing cost structures.
  • Must have experience in manufacturing Industry.
  • Knowledge in ERP system will be an added advantage (SAP, Oracle, Kingdee Accounting System etc)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English.
