Job summary

A financial services firm in Penang is seeking a financial analyst to prepare and analyze financial statements, oversee cash functions, and ensure compliance with local and US GAAP. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in finance/accounting, with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with audit and tax processes is required, and experience with SAP FICO will be advantageous. This position involves teamwork and strong analytical skills.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets and profit & loss.

  • Budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Prepare tax estimations and returns for submission.
  • Ensure compliance with Local and US GAAP.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial statement including balance sheets, profit & loss to ensure timely close of monthly reports
  • Liaise with Auditor and Local Regulatory body
  • Treasury to oversee cash function including payment, forecasting & monthly bank reconciliation
  • Budgeting and quarterly forecasting update
  • Preparing tax estimation and return for timely submission to the tax authorities.
  • Liaise with Tax Consultant for tax audit & tax matters to ensure compliance
  • Monthly inventory reconciliation reporting & yearly physical inventory count arrangement
  • Communicating with Corporate Finance & Tax team.
  • Team Leadership skill
  • Ensure compliance with Local and US GAAP
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Degree / Professional Degree in Financial/Accountancy.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Experience in Audit & Tax
  • Sharp analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in SAP FICO System will be added advantage
  • Planning and organized, capable of working with tight deadlines.
