1. Accounting, Reporting, Forecasting & Budgeting
- Manage assistant accountants in maintaining accurate timely books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist the SM in preparation of Monthly / quarterly management accounts, forecasts and reports on the financial performance of the Business Unit including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows and supporting schedules.
- Assist in preparing Quarterly external reporting to relevant authorities, and annual Statutory accounts compliance.
- Assist the SM in internal financial controls, interfacing between the line management and finance sub-functions on issue resolution (e.g. AP, AR, Accounting, Treasury).
- Assist in supporting working capital management and treasury, taxation and financial planning.
2. Investment, Capital Expenditure and Risk Management
- Monitor and report on capital investments.
- Reconcile capex between accounting, commercial/projects, and track cost to complete.
- Conduct impairment tests and other accounting compliance requirements related to assets and investment.
- Report exposures such as foreign currency, interest rates, and forecast exposure for hedging.
3. Taxation
- Work with Group tax manager to plan fiscal structure to optimize short and long term effective tax rate.
- Ensure books of accounts are kept in compliance with tax requirements such as Inter-Company procedures, Transfer Pricing procedures, and Indirect tax compliance.
