A leading automotive supplier is seeking a dedicated sales professional in Tanjung Malim. The role involves managing customer accounts, developing new sales channels, and providing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Marketing, with at least 3 years of sales experience in the automotive sector. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Preference given to candidates who can engage Mandarin-speaking clients.
Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) stage, follow up teams’ deliverables, analysis and compile deliverables
Prepare and present Target Business List, Program start, Quote and Go deck with leadership
Manage assigned customer accounts to achieve sales, gross margin, and collection targets.
Identify and develop new customers and sales channels to drive continuous business growth.
Provide effective after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and service quality. Actively seek and act upon customer feedback.
Stay updated on current market trends, competitor activities, industry reports, and customer outlook.
Execute internal tasks and projects aligned with company strategies and objectives.
Lead price negotiations and sign agreements/contracts for new product development within the defined business scope, with prior Executive Committee approval.
Support Accounts Receivable (AR) by ensuring timely monthly payments from customers.
Assist Finance in business plan preparation. Review and issue quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, Engineering Design & Development (ED&D) costs, and economic recovery elements.
Lead commercial negotiations in engineering changes and ensure program profitability.
Prepare and update regular sales reports, including weekly updates and monthly performance summaries.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
Strong market understanding and customer-focused mindset.
Independent, results-driven, with strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; adaptable in dealing with various clients and situations.
A proactive team player with a self-motivated attitude.
Basic understanding of finance, costing, and contract/legal terms.
Strong analytical skills for information gathering and reporting.
Capable in program management and cross-functional team coordination.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Must own transport and be willing to travel as required.
Proficiency in English is essential; Mandarin is an added advantage due to engagement with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Working location is Shah Alam and applicants must be willing to relocate to Tanjung Malim
