A procurement-focused company in Malaysia seeks a professional to oversee local sourcing and procurement activities. Responsibilities include coordinating with various departments for logistics, negotiating supplier terms, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure a steady supply of goods. Ideal candidates should possess strong negotiation skills and a background in procurement processes. This role requires effective planning and communication to execute supply chain operations successfully.
Responsible & support for the procurement’s local purchase/sourcing.
Ensuring the procurement activities are executed as per the company’s procurement procedure.
Assists and support the manager in the roll out of central procurement process with other departments.
Work with other departments to coordinate activities such as shipping, receiving, storing, picking, packing, and expediting goods.
Negotiating with local supplier on the price, delivery, payment term and services.
Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services.
Plan and implement supply chain processes that include Inbounding, Purchase Order, Transfer Note.
Perform other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/management.
Identifies supply and supplier issues. Analyses information to assess root cause, improvement and associated risk. Recommends and implements solutions.
