Job summary

A glove manufacturing company in Kamunting, Perak is seeking a Senior Executive – HR & Training to ensure effective management of HR and training functions. This role involves developing annual training plans, supporting recruitment, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, at least 5 years of HR experience, and strong training design skills. Position Title: Senior Executive – HR & Training
Department: Human Resources
1. Job Purpose

To manage and execute Human Resource and Training & Development functions with strong emphasis on workforce capability building, technical and compliance training, and HR operational support within a glove manufacturing environment. Ensure training systems and HR practices comply with statutory requirements and customer audit standards.

2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Training & Development

Develop and implement Annual Training Plan aligned with business and production needs.

Coordinate internal and external training programs for production, QA, EHS, and support functions.

Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new hires and foreign workers.

Organize compliance and mandatory training (WRAP, CTPAT, Social Compliance, Safety, GMP, ISO, ESG).

Monitor training effectiveness through assessments and feedback analysis.

Maintain training records, competency matrices, and certification tracking.

Prepare audit-ready training documentation and reports.

Manage HRD Corp grant applications and claims.

Develop SOP-based and skill certification training modules.

Support leadership and succession development initiatives.

2.2 HR Operations

Support recruitment activities for plant and support positions.

Coordinate employee confirmation, promotion, and contract renewal processes.

Maintain employee data and HRIS records accuracy.

Assist in performance management processes.

Support disciplinary and domestic inquiry documentation when required.

Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and communicated.

2.3 Compliance & Audit

Ensure HR and training compliance with:

  • Malaysian Employment Laws
  • WRAP requirements
  • CTPAT security awareness standards
  • ISO / ESG / EHS standards

Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Conduct employee awareness programs on code of conduct and workplace compliance.

Support auditor interviews and training verification exercises.

2.4 Employee Engagement

Support employee engagement and capability development initiatives.

Coordinate employee communication and awareness programs.

Assist in employee welfare and retention programs.

Partner with department heads to improve workforce productivity.

3. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

Professional HR or Training certification is an advantage.

HRD Corp TTT certification preferred.

4. Experience

Minimum 5–7 years HR experience.

At least 3 years in Training & Development role.

Experience in manufacturing environment preferred (glove / medical device industry advantage).

Experience handling shop-floor workforce training.

Exposure to WRAP / CTPAT / social compliance audits is an added advantage.

Strong training design and facilitation skills.

Good knowledge of Malaysian labor laws.

HRD Corp grant and claim management knowledge.

Strong documentation and audit preparation skills.

Good stakeholder management capability.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
