A financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Executive in Finance to join their General Ledger Team. The role involves performing month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, strong analytical abilities, and experience in tax compliance. Minimum Bachelor (Hons) in Accounting, Finance, partial/full completion of ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ICAEW.
Good knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Understanding of tax compliance is a must.
Experience in group reporting is preferred.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Job Summary:
The incumbent will be in the General Ledger Team working together with both Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable Team and Operational Team in Business Units on a day‑to‑day basis to support the monthly and yearly financial reporting process.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month‑end and year‑end closing, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
Prepare and review journal entries and adjustments.
Conduct intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper settlement across entities.
Maintain supporting schedules.
Handle fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and internal control standards.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable postings for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the monthly cashflow OPEX budget review and forecast updates.
Prepare and file monthly tax reports (e.g., SST) and support compliance requirements.
Support preparation of reports for local statutory and regulatory authorities.
Support external audit processes with necessary documentation and analysis.
Identify and drive process improvements.
Communicate with managers and/or Director on work status.
