Job summary

A global asset management firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a financial analyst to support the Unit Head in financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include budgeting, cash flow projections, and financial reporting. Qualifications

• Educational Background: Degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of working experience, with audit experience is an added advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Oracle Accounting system, OneStream system, and Consolidation Accounting are an added advantage.
• Power BI skills are an added advantage.
• Analytical Skills: Good analytical ability. Prior experience in financial budgeting, forecasting, and review is an added advantage.
• Software Proficiency: Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Power BI, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support the Unit Head in conducting comprehensive financial analysis and preparing detailed reports on financial performance.
• Collaborate with the Unit Head to develop robust financial projections and facilitate effective budget planning.
• Monitor and report on sales performance and expenditure, ensuring alignment with established budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare timely and accurate profit forecasts and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure the prompt and precise production of financial information and insightful financial commentaries.
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial reports.
• Assist in posting accounting journals and the preparation of month-end accounting schedules.
• Perform assigned accounts reconciliation promptly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Undertake additional duties as delegated by the Unit Head and Head of Finance.

• Assist in the posting of accounting journals and the preparation of month‑end accounting schedules, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform assigned accounts reconciliation promptly, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Unit Head and Head of Finance, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the function of finance.
