Job summary

A higher education institution in Malaysia is seeking an HR professional to implement and execute HR strategies, manage Industrial Relations cases, and support the management team on HR-related matters. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field and have 2-4 years of experience in HR roles. Job description
KEY ROLES :
  • Implement and execute all HR strategies and activities at the Campus/UniKL level in with established Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure the effective delivery of HR strategies in alignment with organizational plans and in response to evolving business needs.
  • Manage Industrial Relations (IR) cases and liaise with Group Human Capital (GHC) on major misconduct cases as required.
  • Engage campus staff through Employee Relations (ER) activities to foster and promote a high-performance culture within the campus environment.
  • Process and monitor expenditures related to employee remuneration and benefits.
  • Provide advisory and administrative support to the Management team on HR-related matters and ensure compliance with HR practices.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, recruitment, staff mobility, training and development, performance planning and contracting, as well as the year-end performance appraisal process.
REQUIREMENTS :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Development, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 2 -4 years of experience in Human Resource management or related functions.
  • Strong planning, negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills with a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to carry out tasks efficiently and responsibly.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of labour laws, including the Employment Act and Industrial Relations Act.
