Responsibilities
- GENERAL To develop the concepts and campaigns to market the centre in accordance to the positioning of the centre.
- To ensure that a clear market and marketing goals are set, planned, communicated and coordinated for the centre.
- To implement a marketing strategy, upon agreed by the management; to achieve the objectives and goals for the centre.
- To develop and implement the annual marketing plan and to ensure that its contents are translated to the centre’s commercial calendars.
- To evaluate, plan and execute the most effective techniques and programs to achieve the desired results for the centre and its tenants.
- To get updated information and feedback from shoppers and tenants by conducting surveys, focus groups etc.
- To contribute to the establishment's yearly business plan in respective main areas of responsibility.
- ADVERTISING To develop a consistent communications strategy to enhance and maintain the consistency of the Mall's image, positioning and brand identity.
- To explore with all media owners and agencies on various advertising medium available for lease and to strategize an effective advertising plan for the Mall.
- To generate desired revenue through leasing of advertising space available in the Mall to tenants and external parties.
- PROMOTIONS To plan and executive new, creative, exciting and innovative ideas to attract new visitors, which may cover a wide range of thematic campaigns, promotion activities, special events and roadshows etc in the centre.
- To work closely and develop a strategic partnership with tenants and partners eg. banks, multinational corporations on joint/ cross promotions.
- To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all promotions held, either by external parties or tenants, is consistent with the image, positioning and brand identity which the Mall wants to project.
- To generate desired revenue through leasing of promotions spaces available in the Mall to tenants and external parties.
- VISUAL MERCHANDISING To develop and execute creative ideas, designs and innovative concepts to create the desired visual impact for the Mall.
- To support Advertising & Promotions department in all thematic or tactical campaigns with Above-The-Line materials, Below-The-Line materials, set-up concept, layout, supervision of set-up etc.
- To monitor and upkeep all visual displays in the Mall are in order and executive corrective measures if it is found otherwise.
- PUBLIC RELATIONS / TENANTS RELATIONS To build and maintain a close working relations with all tenants, media, public and local authority for mutual understandings and benefits.
- To develop a good working rapports with all media and to create positive and strategic publicity and media coverage for the Mall.
- To plan and organise relevant Corporate Social Responsibility programs that benefit the Mall and the surrounding community.
- To design and develop marketing research methods to survey the current market trends, market preference, demographic characteristics etc. in order to obtain strategic market intelligence for the benefits of the Mall.
- To monitor the news coverage of the Mall, its tenants, retail industry and competitors on a daily basis.
- OTHERS To be roster on shift as Duty Manager on weekend, Public Holidays and other important occasion.
- To be abreast on the latest retail developments and trends. Visiting other malls and competitors monitoring are a must.
- To take up additional responsibility given by Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Must have at least 3-5 years Advertising & Promotions working experience in shopping centre management and retail industry.
- A degree holder in Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Communications or equivalent fields.
- Must process a strong aptitude for strategic market planning (strategy, brief, plan, follow-up, both long and short term).
- Must process a strong analytical mindset to evaluate the market situation in order to develop an effective marketing plan and strategy.
- Must be able to manage and work with different agencies (media, creative, public relations or internet) to develop desired results for the Mall.
- Must process creative instincts and flairs to develop new ideas and innovative plan for the Mall.
- Must process a wide network of resources and technical know-how to complete relevant tasks. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able and willing to work on odd-hours, weekends or public holidays when required.
