A major airport services company in Kulai, Johor, is seeking an experienced electrical executive to oversee maintenance of airport electrical systems. Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance programs, preparing purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and responding to emergencies. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience in aerodrome facilities management.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution, substations, standby generators, lighting systems, and other airport electrical infrastructure.
Conduct regular inspections and condition assessments to identify defects and maintenance requirements.
Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs in accordance with the approved master schedule.
Ensure maintenance activities are properly recorded and updated in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for repair, replacement, and maintenance works involving external vendors.
Supervise and coordinate in-house and outsourced maintenance works to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
Ensure all electrical installations, operations, and maintenance activities comply with requirements set by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and other relevant authorities.
Accompany visiting electrical engineers and inspectors during scheduled inspections of substations and electrical installations as required by ST, CAAM, and DOSH.
Coordinate immediate rectification works for electrical failures or system breakdowns affecting airport operations.
Provide technical support to development and maintenance teams, including works related to Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) and power supply systems.
Coordinate with internal departments on renovation, repair, and troubleshooting works involving electrical systems.
Review and provide technical input on electrical designs, proposals, and system upgrades.
Ensure spare parts and inventories are well-managed, updating stock information on CMMS.
Attend and respond to airport and aircraft emergencies as required, including after-office hours.
Undertake any other tasks as directed by the immediate superior.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of working experience as an executive specializing in plans, development, construction, and maintenance works related to aerodrome facilities are encouraged to apply.
