Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager, Sustainability

Responsibilities
- Assists in providing strategic guidance to align bank operations with global sustainability frameworks (e.g., IFRS S1/S2, biodiversity standards) by developing internal policies, exclusion criteria, and addressing regulatory gaps.
- Collaborates with analytics and risk management teams to embed environmental and biodiversity factors into the bank’s risk framework, monitoring progress on GHG emissions and sustainability targets.
- Coordinates the preparation and submission of sustainability disclosures and reports in compliance with international standards such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD, and assists with external audits and data verification processes.
- Drives the integration of sustainability initiatives across the organization, including monitoring environmental performance, managing the in-house GHG accounting system, and tracking progress against goals.
- Leads the CSR committee and develops educational programs to enhance ESG awareness, technical knowledge, and stakeholder engagement within the bank.
- Assists in preparing governance reporting, providing quarterly updates to board committees on ESG risks, opportunities, and institutional performance.
- Handles ad-hoc requests from management related to sustainability, ensuring timely and effective responses to emerging needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or other relevant subject.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the financial sector or related industry.
- Good knowledge of the sustainability standards, guidelines, and taxonomy which are applicable to financial sector.
- Experience in sustainability and data analytics will be added advantages.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
