- Interpret initial briefs or 2D concepts and accurately translate them into high-quality 3D models and environments.
- Block out and set-dress entire environments for cinematic scenes.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure assets meet both artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Maintain clean working files and follow established pipeline conventions.
- Help resolve technical challenges.
- Proactively identify and solve production-related issues within modeling tasks.
- Provide support or guidance to artists when needed.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in senior position for film, animation, or games.
- Strong proficiency in both hard surface and organic modeling techniques.
- Skilled in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.
- Familiar with the full asset creation pipeline: modeling, UVs, texturing, material setup, and rendering (for both pre-rendered and real-time projects).
- Strong sense of composition, lighting, and color theory to support cinematic storytelling.
- Ability to adapt to vastly different art styles based on project requirements.
- Able to work independently while demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Bonus
- Familiarity with other texturing tools such as Substance Designer, Quixel Mixer, Photoshop, etc.
- Experience with procedural and landscape creation tools (e.g., Houdini, SpeedTree, World Creator).
- Understanding of or interest in fields that support environment art: architecture, illustration, geography, cinematic staging, and real-world reference building.
- Experience in real-time rendering workflows.
- Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin is a plus.
