Senior Engineer, Product

Location: Tebrau, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks for manufacturing of complex electro‑mechanical products from NPI stage to end of life.
• Facilitate product transfer from Development to Manufacturing, ensuring all deliverables are completed.
• Conduct DFM review to ensure manufacturability, provide improvements to R&D.
• Conduct PFMEA review of manufacturing and test processes to identify potential failure modes.
• Verify design compliance with regulatory requirements and reliability specifications.
• Review open product issues, implement short‑term containment and plan permanent solutions.
• Perform in‑depth failure analysis to trace root causes and implement permanent solutions to meet production yield and customer quality targets.
• Perform design analysis including tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Create and update BOM, 2D/3D drawings and engineering documentation.
• Plan, coordinate and lead actions to qualify engineering changes including qualification/validation plans.
• Assist in prototype builds or engineering evaluation builds to validate changes on production line.
• Monitor critical performance parameters to detect drift and take corrective actions.
• Continuously improve product performance through design and process improvements.
• Conduct VAVE‑driven cost reduction activities.
• Engage customers professionally on updates and approvals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering with 5‑8 years of experience in New Product Industrialization of electro‑mechanical products.
• Experience in 2D and 3D CAD drawings of assemblies and parts.
• Knowledge of part manufacturing technologies: injection molding, die‑casting, precision machining, surface coating/finishing, inspection methods.
• Experience in jig & fixture development for assembly and validation.
• Root Cause Analysis experience using quality tools.
• Experience with design analysis tools such as TSA, DFX, DFMEA, FEA, DOE.
• Familiarity with GD&T in CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, and standard design process documentation.
• Independently perform design analysis such as TSA, DFX, DFMEA, FEA.
• Familiar with BOM structuring, engineering change process management, yield reporting, RCA report preparation.
• Proficient in oral and written communication, preparation of presentation slides/materials.
