A leading property development firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer. You will manage the full scope of civil and structural work, including design and infrastructure components. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a consultancy firm. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and best practices is essential. To be eligible for this role, you will require :
Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
Minimum 5 years working experience as structure design engineer in C&S Consultancy Firm.
Experienced in main building planning and township development project will be an advantage.
Well known of BS, UBBL and Europe code and others standard requirement.
Good attention to detail, organizational, and time management.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities will be :
Manage full Civil & Structural (C&S) scope of work, covering both structural design and civil infrastructure components such as earthworks, drainage, water reticulation, sewerage, and roadworks.
Develop preliminary C&S design schemes to support early-stage cost estimation and provide sufficient input for the preparation of preliminary design proposals by other team members.
Analyze, propose, and design structural systems, including substructures, superstructures, reinforced concrete (RC), and steel elements in accordance with engineering best practices and project requirements.
Coordinate civil design elements, including site levels, infrastructure layout, and services integration, ensuring alignment with overall project planning and engineering standards.
Collaborate closely with architects, M&E engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and cost-efficient design solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic project goals.
Prepare and review complete C&S documentation, including working drawings, coordinated layouts, technical specifications, detailed calculations, and schedules for authority submission and construction use.
Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., JKR, DID, IWK, Local Councils) for design clarification, technical queries, and securing necessary design approvals and permits.
Attend authority meetings and site inspections as required, and provide prompt responses to compliance issues or design-related queries raised by authorities.
Produce coordinated structural and civil tender drawings that are suitable for tendering and construction, ensuring consistency across all disciplines.
To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
