Accessories Department responsible for developing communication devices & accessories for the professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments

Job Description

Responsible for the design & development of highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments. The requirements encompass key functionalities such as remote speaker mic development, interacting with radios and videos, and other wireless devices.

Work with a team of highly-qualified engineers to generate innovative ideas and design communication systems which include subscribers and accessories that meet customer requirements.

Participate in all aspects of the product development process including specification definition, design, implementation and test validation.

Define specifications which include software requirements for new software platform and/or new system features/solutions.

Provide analysis and solutions to the technical problems scaled from medium to complex, drive for consensus from different functional parties, and make a positive impact to the project.

Create documents for Architecture & Design, and Message Sequence Chart (MSC)

Coordinate and provide constructive feedback and proposals in the software design and code review.

Consult and derive test scenarios for manual and automation tests.

Strive for zero-defect quality culture.

Collaborate and communicate clearly across different design centers / functional teams from different disciplines such as Hardware, Product Manager, UI/UX teams.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience or equivalent in firmware development. Advanced degrees with MSc/M.Eng or PhD specializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage.
• In-depth understanding & experience in real-time embedded software development for communication devices, automotive applications, industrial automation or consumer products.
• In-depth understanding & experience in Embedded system debugging and strong analytical skills.
• In-depth understanding & experience of microprocessors and controller design, including understanding schematics and component data sheets.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and applies good coding practices.
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or signal generators is a plus.
• Experience with the Agile software development practices.
• Experience with GIT tools or any version control systems.
• Good knowledge of wireless technologies such as LTE/WIFI/Bluetooth/Sensors is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Linux is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Video related devices is a plus.
• Good English written & verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, collaborate with cross discipline functional teams and various design centers globally.
• Work independently in problem solving, and self-driven to meet project quality goals and deadlines.
• Passionate & eager to learn, willing to collaborate with others, and grow with the team.
