A leading engineering consultancy in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and specify electrical systems for data centres and buildings. Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for data centres and buildings, including 132kV, 33kV, 415V, Generators, UPS and ELV systems
• Prepare relevant document, design calculations and drawings for submissions to authorities
• Attend client-consultant, site and technical meetings
• Provide project management and construction supervision
• Review contractors' technical submissions of equipment/material/drawings
• Conduct site inspection of installations
• Witness testing and commissioning of equipment/system
• Work with the clients' project team and fellow consultants to coordinate and detail project design requirement
• Be responsible for any duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, recognised by Board of Engineers, Malaysia
• Able to work in
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with M&E Consultancy firm(s)
• Strong knowledge of local codes and regulations
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux and ETAP simulation software.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Positive work attitude
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Enjoy the process of developing design ideas into actual quality installation and validating through performance tests
• Likes hands-on site and testing & commissioning work
• Experience in Data Centre industry is preferred
• Suitable applicant with longer relevant experience, deeper technical knowledge and additional technical qualifications, such as Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC), will be considered for more senior position
