The division leader needs to provide this with a dedication to the highest quality of consumer satisfaction by maintaining store displays to make products visually appealing to consumers and building displays that maximize the sales impact on a day‑to‑day basis.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all merchandise prices are correct and properly displayed.
- Ensure floor merchandise display and gondola ends are well stocked.
- Daily monitor stock availability on shelves, replenish and display stocks in accordance to the planogram guidelines/company requirements standard.
- Visible, attractive and accessible display of promotion items at shelves and blocks to attract customers and ensure sufficiency of stocks.
- Identify and monitor fast‑moving and slow‑moving SKUs – display with more facings for top 250 SKUs and price tickets indicated with special remark by system.
- Report to the immediate superior when supplier is out of stock/short supplied especially top 250 SKUs and promotion items.
- Remove promotion POSM once promotion period ended and immediately place up normal pricing POSM.
- Identify areas to improve and how to increase sales for the outlet/department.
- Identify and look out for potential areas for cross‑selling – display profitable merchandise at checkout counter unless rented out.
- Special care on display of company house brand as instructed by Management.
- No display of merchandise without item label and details of nutritional facts, importer address stickers and etc. in English/Malay language.
- Keep non‑returnable stocks at allocated area and ensure well storage of loose stocks.
- Check expiry date report on monthly basis.
- Monitor and propose markdown to Merchandizer team for non‑returnable item.
- Use “Reduce to Clear” promotion talker with expiry date indicated at bottom for markdown items – display at high traffic flow/designated area.
- No display of dented, rusty, expired or damaged merchandise on the selling floor.
- Coordinator during stock take – proper stock arrangement for accessibility.
- Submit write‑off report – obtain approval code for write off over RM 100 from person‑in‑charge at HQ Operations.
- Ensure sufficient space to navigate between the aisles with no obstruction (e.g. unattended boxes on the floor).
- Ensure the store floor clean and tidy throughout the supermarket.
- Immediately report any suspicious behaviour/suspicion of stock being stolen.
- Remove damaged/spoilt stocks from shelves and keep at stocks return area in store.
- Ensure the availability of staff at the selling floor, where customers are easy to find and approach.
- Friendly, polite and good manners to provide value‑added services – offer basket to customers, provide trolley & umbrella boy services and top‑up shopping baskets at designated areas.
- Perform other related duties required by the Superior from time to time.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- SPM / STPM Level or equivalent
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work in shifts
- Willing to multitask and work as a team
