The successful candidate will lead the demand forecasting process, ensuring accurate demand plans and coordinating with sales and operations for alignment. This Senior Executive for Demand Planning is responsible for leading the demand forecasting process to ensure accurate, timely, and data‑driven demand plans for the animal feed nutrition industry. This role works closely with sales, marketing, procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure forecast alignment with business objectives, support optimal inventory strategy, minimize stockouts, and enhance customer service levels. The incumbent will play a key role in S&OP processes, market intelligence gathering, and developing best‑in‑class forecasting methodologies.
To lead the end‑to‑end demand forecasting process using advanced statistical methods, consumption models and business intelligence.
Monitor forecast performance weekly and monthly, diagnosing root causes of inaccuracies and implementing structured corrective actions.
Coordinate with Sales teams to consolidate sales forecasts from multiple business units and validate against historical trends, market conditions and customer insights.
Identify demand risks and opportunities, including provide mitigation recommendations.
Facilitate consensus‑building among commercial, finance, procurement and production teams to finalize aligned demand plan.
Prepare and lead demand review sessions with sales, marketing, technical nutritionist and commercial teams.
Work with commercial teams to incorporate market expansion plans, promotional activities, specific growth targets and pipeline opportunities.
Partner with R&D and technical teams to estimate demand for trials, pilot projects and new product launches.
Collaborate with Finance on revenue forecasts, budgeting cycles and variance analysis.
Support operations and production planning to validate weekly and monthly supply plans.
Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to evaluate supply constraints and understand operational capabilities.
Review inventory policies and propose adjustments based on demand volatility, lead times and customer service requirements.
Develop demand‑driven supply strategies for imported ingredients with long lead times.
Work closely with supply planners and procurement to match supply plans with demand forecasts.
Support supply chain risk assessments, including supplier disruptions and raw material shortages, by providing demand projections and contingency volumes.
Implement data cleansing processes to improve master data accuracy, including SKU setups, units of measure and customer segmentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting processes, data quality and planning cycle efficiency.
Ensure demand plans are aligned with business growth targets and inventory strategies.
Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture / Animal Science, Statistics or equivalent.
At least 3-5 years of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
Applicants who are exposed to animal feed, animal nutrition, agriculture, or FMCG manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Has good initiative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholder management abilities.
Able to work independently and effectively in a fast‑paced and matrix environment.
Flexible and willing to work beyond normal working hours.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Hands‑on experience in production planning with strong knowledge in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, OMP or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Applicants with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Understanding of feed industry product categories, formulation basics and supply chain dynamics is an advantage.
Applicants with problem‑solving skills, critical thinking skills, result‑oriented and hardworking attitude will have an added advantage.
