An innovative omni-channel company in Malaysia is looking for a Demand Planner to ensure healthy inventory flow and accurate demand forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in demand planning. The Demand Planner plays a key role in ensuring healthy inventory flow and accurate demand forecasting across all channels. This role is responsible for analysing sales trends, forecasting demand, and developing forecast models to support business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy, communicate demand and inventory insights to management, and support strategic decision-making. The role also oversees the monitoring and reporting of sales forecasts, inventory performance, and budget alignment.
Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Successfully communicate forecasts and inventory estimations to management.
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
Manage global inventory levels against revenue targets through constant monitoring, prioritizing, and reallocations.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
