About the Role

As a Senior Developer – Core Banking, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing enterprise-grade core banking deposit systems used across the region. Based within a Centre of Excellence environment, this role offers exposure to large-scale banking platforms, regional initiatives, and complex mission-critical systems. You will work hands‑on with core banking technologies while contributing to system stability, continuous improvement, and mentoring junior developers in a collaborative, high‑impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the Silverlake Deposits core banking system.
• Provide functional and technical support for CASA and Time Deposit modules.
• Design, code, test, and implement solutions using RPG on the AS400 / iSeries platform.
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve system issues to ensure operational stability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
• Manage and execute system deployments using ALDON (AS400 deployment automation tool).
• Participate in DevOps practices, automation initiatives, and production support activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers within the team.

The Ideal Candidate

• In-depth hands‑on experience with Silverlake Deposits systems.
• Strong expertise in RPG programming on AS400 / iSeries platforms.
• Solid experience working with DB2 on AS400.
• Good functional understanding of CASA and Time Deposit banking modules.
• Familiarity with ALDON for AS400 deployment and release management.
• Exposure to DevOps methodologies, automation tools, and modern development practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work in a mission‑critical banking environment.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers is highly advantageous.
