Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years of experience in post-contract activities. Responsibilities include managing tender compilation, evaluating subcontractor bids, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, with a strong understanding of procurement and cost control, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management software. Fluency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in post-contract activities in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-contract and post-contract matters.
• Review and evaluate tender bids and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare and monitor progress claims and variation orders.
• Evaluate subcontractors’ claims and invoices.
• Ensure subcontract works comply with the main contract.
• Monitor project costs and budget control.
• Coordinate closely with site team to keep project on track.
• Prepare and maintain project insurance and performance bonds.
