Overview

Join our client's dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing and administering contracts, variations, and subcontractor/supplier documentation. This role offers a unique opportunity to support procurement, subcontractor management, and project teams by handling contract issues related to payments, variation orders, and special agreements. You will ensure proper documentation, compliance, and coordination to safeguard the company’s commercial and legal interests.

What you\'ll be doing?
  • Contract Administration: Assist in drafting and reviewing subcontracts, supplier agreements, and contractual letters. Prepare and issue special terms of agreement with subcontractors and suppliers as directed. Support the preparation of variation orders to clients and follow up on approvals.
  • Support to Procurement & Purchasing: Work with the procurement and purchasing teams to resolve payment, supply, or variation issues with suppliers. Coordinate with subcontractor management to handle disputes and compliance matters.
  • Documentation & Records: Maintain records of all contracts, variations, approvals, and agreements. Ensure proper filing and traceability for audit and dispute purposes.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters. Escalate unresolved disputes to the Contract Officer Leader & Subcontract Management Leader for further handling. Provide updates on contractual status, payments, and variations to the Contract Officer Leader & Subcontract Management Leader.
Who are they looking for?
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in contract administration in the construction industry.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to understand and interpret contractual terms. Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams. Capable of escalating issues clearly and diplomatically.
  • Other Attributes: Proactive and willing to learn. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
