What You’ll Do
1. Strategic Brand & Category Management
- Own and manage assigned strategic brands within the category.
- Identify growth opportunities through brand portfolio optimization and sales initiatives.
- Resolve daily operational issues and act as a key point of contact for brand partners.
2. Buy Planning & Performance
- Develop and finalize seasonal buy plans, including SKU mix, depth, and pricing.
- Monitor in-season performance, recommending actions to maximize sell-through and margins.
- Control inventory exposure, minimize holding risks, and ensure optimal stock levels.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Support the Category Manager with insights on product potential, market trends, and consumer demand.
- Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure alignment.
- Mentor and guide Buyers and Junior Buyers, fostering team capability and professional development.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Fashion Management, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant buying or merchandising experience, including at least 3–5 years in a Buyer or Senior Buyer role.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing strategic brands or categories with measurable commercial impact.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching junior team members is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to identify sales opportunities and optimize category performance.
- Solid understanding of buy depth, SKU mix, pricing strategy, inventory management, and sell-through metrics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
