About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join our Insurance team. This role is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in expanding business profitability in an efficient and sustainable manner. You will manage Agency, RHB Group and Direct business portfolios to maximize productivity, identify new market opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives to grow market share. You will also work closely with underwriters, agency partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure strong risk management, regulatory compliance, and portfolio performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the Branch Manager in formulating and implementing marketing strategies to maximize business potential through the Agency channel
• Manage and grow Agency, RHB Group and Direct business portfolios to enhance productivity and profitability
• Work with underwriters in the acceptance of new risks in accordance with Head Office acceptance limits
• Obtain surveys and implement risk management programmes for Banca Retail clients
• Expand new market share and identify emerging market opportunities
• Drive Agency recruitment and enhance the Agency Recruitment Programme
• Organise relationship enhancement and engagement activities with key stakeholders
• Conduct agency portfolio segmentation and performance reviews
• Review and optimize the product portfolio to meet market needs
• Monitor and ensure adherence to Credit Control policies
• Ensure all regulatory guidelines and company policies are strictly complied with
• Protect the reputation and integrity of the company through sound governance and professional conduct

• Relevant professional qualification in insurance and/or a degree in any discipline
• Working experience in the insurance industry
• Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge of the insurance industry
