We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Senior Business Development Executive to join our Off‑Trade Sales Department, focusing on the Southern region (Johor Bahru and nearby areas). This role is responsible for expanding market presence, developing strong customer relationships, and driving sales performance within supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, and other off‑trade retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the off‑trade channel.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through consistent engagement and performance review.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and promotional activities within company guidelines.
Territory & Channel Management
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure proper product distribution, visibility, and merchandising in retail outlets.
- Conduct regular store visits and trade checks to ensure brand standards are maintained.
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with key trade partners, distributors, and retail buyers.
- Work closely with outlet purchasing and category teams to optimize sales performance.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams for promotions, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment.
- Support trade marketing and in‑store promotional activities.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and account settlements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date customer information and sales documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG/off‑trade sales, preferably in the beverage or liquor industry.
- Strong background in managing key accounts, distributors, or retailers.
- Strong sales negotiation and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Willing to travel frequently within the Southern region (Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan).
- Possess a valid driving license and own transport.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese/Hokkien is an added advantage.
- We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
