Job description

Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur is the primary organization representing the interests of property and housing developers in the Federal Territories of Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • Lobby for cause of REHDA WPKL
  • Support Branch Manager in communication and planning with relevant authorities (Government / Local Government / Utilities Agencies / Professional Body):
    • Highlighting issues, compilation and keeping up to date with all existing policies / law / guidelines related to WPKL.
    • Framing of issues arising, the proposal / resolution to highlight change of improvement that meet REHDA WPKL’s objectives (with Branch Manager).
    • Preparing paper to relevant stakeholder, following up for meetings / dialogue and achieving REHDA WPKL objective. All presentation to be carried out in the direction set by the branch committee and approved by branch committee prior to presentation to relevant stakeholder.
    • To arrange for meetings / activities / workshop / dialogue / lab / courtesy visit and perform actions necessary.
    • All actions taken, visits and conversation must inform branch manager and to be recorded in the respective stakeholder or industry issue file.
  • Liaison and initiate follow up with respective branch committee member, zone committees, sub-committees and REHDA WPKL members on:
    • To coordinate preparation of papers
    • To arrange for meetings / activities / workshop / dialogue / lab / courtesy visit with relevant stakeholders and actions required.
  • Communication and Event Management (as instructed by Branch Manager):
    • Support in event coordination, liaison with vendors.
    • Support on A&P and liaison with media.
    • Ensure implementation of MAPEX, study tour, event, workshop, conference, seminar, and etc.
    • Able to prepare and manage budgets.
    • Assist with liaising with REHDA WPKL members with updated industry information via email, Facebook, LinkedIn, website and WhatsApp.
    • Assist to scheduling post for REHDA related meetings, events and festive greetings
    • Attend to queries and policy problems faced by our members.
    • Ad-hoc assignment/duty by Branch Committee and Branch Manager where required.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years proven experience as related field, preferably in real estate development (this is an added advantage)
  • Possess own transport for work
  • Skilled in project management and budgeting
  • Must be proactive, resourceful and independent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with corporate communications including usage of social media platforms especially Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp Business
