Position: Senior Accounts Executive

Location: Selangor, Malaysia (Hybrid)

The role supports both operational delivery and client servicing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Company FastLane Recruit, a part of FastLane Group, hiring on behalf of our client, a licensed corporate service provider. The role seeks an experienced accounting professional who can manage full sets of accounts, liaise with clients and external professionals, and deliver high-quality accounting services within agreed timelines. This role requires strong ownership, maturity, and the ability to work independently while supervising junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Financial – Achievement of deliverables to clients according to scope of services.
  • Clients/Customers – Achieving set budgets within the group; assisting the manager/director in identifying added work scope and potential increases in fees; managing client relationships; aiming for client satisfaction and retention.
  • Senior Management – Effective reporting and consultation with Manager, Senior Manager & Director; coordination and communication with other divisions.
  • Operations – Updating client account transactions (payments, receipts, payables, receivables, accruals, adjustments) and preparation of bank reconciliations; timely preparation of full set of accounts, weekly/monthly/year-end closings, aging/listings for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Notes to Accounts and related schedules; ability to work independently under pressure and meet reporting deadlines; prepare audit and tax schedules for year-end finalization; liaise with clients’ external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other professionals to ensure compliance; manage treasury services (cash flow/trust accounts inflow/outflow), verify outstanding bills, prepare vouchers, ensure proper filing; provide quality service to clients; ensure timely billing and follow up on receivables; ensure all jobs/assignments and OPEs are billed; file client documents/records properly; acknowledge client requests within 24 hours and respond within 2 working days; perform any other tasks assigned by management; assist and advise junior staff; supervise a team of junior staff and monitor efficiency and deliverables.
Requirements
  • Possesses a Diploma, Degree or is pursuing professional studies in accounting/finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage; strong computer skills are essential.
  • Strong management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Able to work independently, multi-task, and be a good team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
  • Punctual and pleasant personality.
Salary

The salary offered ranges between RM4,500 and RM5,000.
