A dynamic telecommunications service provider in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Finance Manager to lead financial reporting and analysis while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities include monthly account reviews, group consolidations, and tax obligations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, possesses ACCA/CPA qualifications, and has 3–5 years of relevant experience. Review monthly account closing to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in compliance with financial reporting standards and company policies.
To perform consolidation accounts for the group.
Assist in the preparation of accurate annual financial statements.
Liaise with auditor and tax agent by providing necessary documentation.
Lead the preparation of the annual consolidated group budget, working across departments, regional teams, and subsidiaries.
Perform monthly variance analysis against budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers and provide actionable insights.
Present analysis findings to management.
Conduct regular bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee day to day GL operations, provide guidance and supervision to finance GL team.
Prepare and compute corporate tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax obligations based on local tax laws and international regulations (if applicable).
Support regulatory filings and assist in tax planning and transfer pricing for the group.
Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP), company policies, and local regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify opportunities for automating accounting processes and implementation of effective internal controls.
Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting, ideally within a telco, or services-based environment.
Experience handling full sets of accounts and multi-entity/group consolidation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial analysis in a services context.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling and data visualization tools preferred.
Able to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced tech environment.
