Qualifications

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the end-to-end accounting process including GL, AP, AR.
  • Prepare schedules, accruals, and journals for month-end closing.
  • Perform monthly bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare draft computations for SST/GST and maintain audit readiness.
  • Assist in daily cash position monitoring and payment batches.

Job description

Len Min Steel Sdn Bhd is a leading building material distribution company based in Petaling Jaya. We pride ourselves on reliability and efficiency within the construction supply chain. We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accounts Executive to support our growing operations and ensure financial accuracy.

The Role

You will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day financial transactions and administrative functions of the office. This position reports directly to the Management and requires a blend of accounting expertise and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
Full Set Accounting & Execution
  • Transaction Management: Handle the end-to-end accounting process (GL, AP, AR) for the group, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Month-End Closing: Prepare all necessary schedules, accruals, and journals to ensure the "soft close" is ready for management review by the 5th of each calendar month.
  • Reconciliations: Perform rigorous monthly bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
Tax & Statutory Support
  • Tax Filing: Prepare draft computations for SST/GST and other tax-related requirements for superior review.
  • Audit Readiness: Maintain organized lead schedules and serve as a key point of contact for providing documentation to internal and external auditors.
Treasury & Operational Support
  • Liquidity Tracking: Assist in daily cash position monitoring and bank facility tracking; prepare payment batches for approval.
  • Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and participate in periodic physical inventory and asset verification counts.
  • Document Control: Ensure all financial records (Invoices, POs, Vouchers) are filed systematically.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounts and Admin roles (experience in the construction or trading industry is a plus).

Education: Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or equivalent.

Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or Million) and Microsoft Office (Excel is a must).

Attributes: High attention to detail, able to meet deadlines, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Communication: Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage to liaise with specific stakeholders.
