Overview
The position is to build and deliver an integrated accounting capability and provide effective business support to the operations and management in Malaysia and Thailand. Support and execute financial processes with quality and accuracy that complied with group policy, improve business productivity and operations, and providing sound analysis to improve profitability. Work closely with Malaysia and Thailand operation team to ensure daily operation moving smoothly.
Responsibilities
- With business development in Malaysia and Thailand, this position is expected to responsible for, but not limited to:
- The Monthly finance closing of Plant P&L and Balance Sheet involving invoice issuing within deadline.
- Financial budgeting and planning as well as monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis of actual results versus budget and prior year during closing.
- Understand the business development of business projects, ensure the submission of accurate and timely financial forecasts, provide all-round support for business operations.
- Support in the ERP system implementation and continual overseeing and provide improvement in the system function.
- Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are executed for the plant.
- Participating in plant budgeting and supporting of the factory operations to help the company achieve budget goals.
- Establishing and maintain effective internal control measures to ensure the compliance of financial activities and risk control to meet internal and external audit requirements.
- Cost improvement and optimization to meet company budget.
- Works closely with other departments, liaise with external auditor, tax and treasury, and corporate secretarial works relating to company/ group matters.
- Support on ad hoc task from line or business/operation team, etc.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree or above, major in Finance/Accounting. CPA, ACCA, CIMA qualification is strongly preferred.
- Working experience: More than 8 years of working experience in Finance/Accounting area in middle sized or large sized multinational organization.
- Past working experience in audit firms is a big plus.
- SAP HFM experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing industry is an added advantage
- Knowledge & Skills: Familiar with local GAAP and tax rules, especially the ones in Malaysia.
- Knowledge of Tax, Treasury and Audit would be advantageous.
- Strong learning skills, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills, excellent skills in Excel/Word/PPT.
- Professional judgment and strong problem-solving skill.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Mandarin, both oral and written will be a great advantage.
- Good communication skill, can work under pressure, and team player.
