Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (Finance) to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role requires close coordination with Finance Manager and College Director to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and timely submission to Finance Manager, College Director, and Head Office (HQ).

Prepare monthly cash flow projections and revise annual tax estimations as needed.

Update MREL marketing and budgeting figures in coordination with relevant departments.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of the company\'s yearly tax return.

Oversee the year-end statutory audit process, and manage the submission of annual returns and other corporate matters with the company secretary.

Verify Purchase Orders (POs), Payment Vouchers (PVs), and Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) prior to submission for Finance Manager, College Director, and Head Office (HQ) approvals.

Maintain robust internal control systems, uphold financial reporting standards, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Manage and report on the financials of related dormant companies.

Perform other finance-related tasks and responsibilities as required during working hours.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar financial management role and preferably in education industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
