A leading oil company in Johor, Iskandar Puteri, is seeking an experienced accounting professional. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, maintaining records, and conducting data analysis. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 2-5 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential. Financial Statement Preparation:Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports at a statutory quality level.
Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate and detailed financial transactional records and reconciliations.
Data Analysis:Analyzing financial data to identify trends, cost drivers, revenue fluctuations and financial commitments for the firm.
Audits:Assisting with external audits for the individual’s respective companies.
Financial Reporting:Reporting financial information to management and other stakeholders on a regular cadence.
Reconciliations:Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts on a weekly basis.
Problem Solving:Identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies in financial records.
Communication:Communicating financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advantageous to have a Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Experience:2 - 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
Accounting Principles:Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and its application in management accounting.
Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Software Proficiency:Proficiency in utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Excel extensively.
Communication Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organization:Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and react to ad hoc management requirements.
Attention to Detail:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Languages:Working proficiency in English and Bahasa.
