Job summary

A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee the company's accounts adhering to statutory requirements. Responsibilities include managing expenditures, cash flow monitoring, and payment processing. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance/accountancy with at least 3 years of executive experience in a similar role and good SQL skills. Strong inter-personal and negotiating abilities are crucial for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage company accounts and expenditures per statutory requirements.
  • Issue payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor cash flow and review financial position regularly.
  • Oversee purchasing and store activities, liaising with suppliers.
  • Organize staff training programs.
  • Manage administrative activities and office maintenance.

Job description

To manage the company’s accounts in accordance with the statutory requirements and standards accounting conventions.

To manage and control the company’s expenditure and monitor on cash flow.

To issue payments to suppliers and subcontractors.

To review the company’s financial position and monitor cashflow regularly.

To carry out annual tax computations of the company for submission to Inland Revenue in accordance to statutory requirements.

Liaise with banks and suppliers on all financial related matters.

To oversee, manage and control purchasing and store activities for the company, and liaise with suppliers on payment terms/ modes and to advice management accordingly.

To ensure that all products are supplied and delivered are in accordance to purchase order and project requirements.

To plan and organize staff training programmes to meet staff training needs.

To manage all administrative activities including office security and maintenance.

To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

Preferably senior executive experience in construction industry

Preferably senior executive good in SQL

Job Requirements:

Degree in Finance /Accountancy or equivalent.

At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Knowledge in financial and management accounting standards and practices.

Knowledge in purchasing activities, statutory and regulatory requirements.

Good in inter-personal skills and negotiating skills.

Knowledge in legal requirements and environmental, safety and health practices.
