Job summary

A leading financial services company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Senior Account Executive to oversee the preparation of consolidated reports and ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Senior Account Executive (Group Reporting)

This position is in charge in the preparation of the Group’s consolidated reports, ensuring full compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements. The role is also responsible for accurate financial reporting, analyze financial reports, and supporting management reporting, budgeting, and audit activities.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the monthly consolidation of Group accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRS”).

Prepare quarterly financial reports in compliance with Bursa Malaysia ListingRequirements.

Assist in the preparation of monthly EXCO and Board papers with financial analysis commentaries for the management/Board meeting.

Responsible for preparing the Group’s monthly and periodic financial and management reporting to the Group’s holding company in Singapore.

Liaise with external auditors, inter-companies and holding company.

In charge in compilation and preparation of annual group budget/forecast and Annual Report (ensure accuracy and compliance with MFRS).

Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions within the group, ensuring accuracy and proper elimination of intercompany balances during consolidation.

Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and strategic business initiatives as required.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior or management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must have a Degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CIMA or ACCA will be an advantage.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in group consolidation within a listed company and/or audit experience involving group consolidation.

Strong technical knowledge of MFRSand group consolidation principles.

Attention to detail, highly organized, analytical, proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
