Senior Account Executive – Crypto Industry

Salary Range Up to RM8,000

Summary The Senior Finance Executive plays a critical role in supporting the Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and compliance while also guiding and mentoring executive finance staff. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, highly organized, able to multitask efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and cross check general ledger, AP/AR, and fixed asset accounting functions.
  • Review and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Prepare and file statutory tax submissions (e.g., SST, corporate tax, withholding tax).
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies for audit and compliance matters.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts.
  • Analyze variances against budget and provide insightful commentary.
  • Assist in preparing forecasts, budgets, and financial planning.
Leadership & Team Support
  • Lead, mentor, and guide finance executives.
  • Review junior staff’s work and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate tasks and provide training where necessary.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Support Finance Manager in strategic initiatives and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Work closely with other departments for cost control, project analysis, and process improvements.
  • Assist in financial system implementation and enhancements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas like VLOOKUP, PivotTable, IF, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SQL).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a multi-company or cross-border business environment is a plus.
