Job summary

A financial services group in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Finance Manager to lead and manage financial closing processes, ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, oversee budgeting, and monitor financial performance. The ideal candidate will have at least a degree in Accounting, 3-4 years of experience in finance, and solid analytical skills. Experience with corporate governance, Bursa Malaysia reporting, and accounting software is preferred. This role also includes supervising accounting staff and supporting strategic financial planning.

Job description

Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across the Group and subsidiaries.

Monitor financial performance and provide insightful variance analysis to support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements including SST and corporate tax filings.

Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management procedures.

Coordinate external and internal audits and act as the key liaison with auditors and tax agents.

Support the Group CFO in strategic financial planning, funding exercises, and corporate finance matters.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff across business units to ensure consistent financial practices.

Assist in ad hoc financial analysis, system improvements, and automation initiatives.

Job Requirements
  • The candidate must possess at least Degree in AccountingMIA, MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent (completed or in final stages).
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably with exposure to group consolidation, listed company reporting, or multi-entity environments.
  • Experience with Bursa Malaysia reporting, corporate governance, or public listed environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian corporate tax and SST requirements is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and consolidation principles.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, MYOB) and Excel (including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.).
