Job summary

A healthcare facility in Perak, Ipoh, is seeking a security officer responsible for monitoring premises, supervising guards, and maintaining safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Carry out and ensure proper monitoring and surveillance of hospital premises and assets.
  • Supervise and monitor the security guards and porters.
  • Provide efficient transportation within the hospital.
  • Maintain proper key distribution and storage system.
  • Investigate incident reports and conduct internal searches.
  • Monitor the hospital-wide surveillance systems.
  • Supervise mail distribution and collection service.
  • Ensure the upkeep of hospital vehicles.
  • Monitor outsource parking facilities.
  • Assist in the renewal of broadcasting licenses.
  • Act as Fire Safety Officer during emergencies.
  • Review current security policies and coordinate exercises.
  • Handle external complaints on security services.
  • Perform compulsory morning/afternoon shifts and night shifts if required.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Carry out and ensure proper monitoring and surveillance of hospital premises and assets.
  • Supervise and monitor the security guards, porters, prepare departmental duty roster and arrange relief staff.
  • Carry out staff briefing & training.
  • Provide efficient, effective and caring transportation within the hospital (deckchairs, wheelchair or trolley) and assist with lifting as requested.
  • Maintain proper Hospital wide key distribution and storage system. Investigate incident report and conduct internal security search.
  • Upkeep & maintain the Digital Video Recording System (DVR), monitor the hospital wide surveillance system on security & safety and carry out routine surveillance rounds.
  • Supervise the internal mail distribution and collection service for all departments of the hospital.
  • Supervise the upkeep of Hospital’s vehicles to ensure its functionality; Assist in PUSPAKOM inspection and road tax renewal.
  • Carry out monitoring of the outsource parking facilities, ensure smooth running of parking facilities and monitor parking & traffic violations within the hospital premises and car parks.
  • Assist in the renewal and application of MACP, RPM and PPM broadcasting licenses from the relevant authorities.
  • Assist on survey, data collection & compilation for statistic purpose.
  • Answer alarm and investigate disturbances. Act as the Fire Safety Officer on duty to notify the Fire Team Leader and in supervising the emergency response.
  • Review current security policies and procedures and coordinate hospital wide security exercises.
  • Handle external complaints on security and porter services including providing resolution, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Compulsory morning/afternoon shift once a week - after office hour spot checks. Night Shift if required.
