Qualifications

Job purpose

As a Security Operations Specialist, your main objective is to involve in Security Incident Response and Management.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Develop and maintain the organization's incident response plan and procedures.
  • Monitor security systems and logs for potential security incidents.
  • Investigate security incidents to determine their scope, cause, and impact.
  • Coordinate the response to security incidents, working closely with other teams such as IT, legal, and communications.
  • Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders on the status of security incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver security incident response training to employees.
  • Stay up to date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and ensure that our incident response plans are effective against them.
  • Participate in incident response exercises and drills to test and improve our incident response capabilities.
Expected Skills & Experience
Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or relevant courses
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in SOC and/or Security Incident Management process
  • Relevant cybersecurity professional certification is an advantage (i.e., CISSP, Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), etc.)
Technical Skills
  • Proven experience in investigating and responding to security incidents
  • Strong knowledge of information security concepts, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of SIEM and relevant Cyber Security product such as MS Sentinel, MS ADX, ArcSight, and etc.
  • Possess relevant skills in reporting tool (i.e., MS Office, Power BI, etc.)
Soft Skills / Transversal Skills
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills are required in order to communicate findings and status
  • Detail oriented, organized, methodical, follow up skills with an analytical thought process
  • Innovative and efficiency focused
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
