Job summary

A mall security firm is looking for a dedicated security officer to manage personnel deployment, enforce discipline, and ensure safety within the premises. Responsibilities include preparing security reports, monitoring surveillance systems, and conducting safety checks. Candidates should possess a Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma or equivalent, be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and have prior security or administrative experience. Physical fitness and teamwork capabilities are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma and above or equivalent.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Prior experience in security, administration and operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily deployment of officers and personnel.
• Prepare security briefs and reports.
• Enforce discipline among personnel.
• Oversee performance of security personnel.
• Conduct periodical checks on security equipment.
• Supervise daily shifts of security staff.
• Investigate crime and safety cases.
• Monitor CCTV coverage of the facility.

Job description

To monitor the daily deployment of officer and personnel as in accordance to the daily roster.

To prepare security brief, weekly / monthly / yearly security reports and statistics.

To enforce discipline and take the necessary action against any misconduct or indiscipline.

To oversee performance of duty by security personnel does not conflict the checklists and procedures. x) To carry out periodical checks on all security equipments and logistical supplies.

To command and supervise the shift of senior security guards, auxiliary police and security guards on duty.

To assign guards to their respective posts and ensure that the guards are briefed and trained on their duties and responsibilities.

To investigate, detain and resolve crime cases.

Monitors the CCTV coverage of the shopping mall.

Conducts safety checks and other related activities to provide and maintain a safe environment.

Executes emergency plans as well as preliminary investigations for any breaches in security.

Assists in the taking of disciplinary action resulting from staff misbehavior or misconduct.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma and above or equivalent.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Prior experience in security, administration and operations would be an added advantage.
• Prompt, physically fit, and has capacity to work in shifts.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
• Willing to be based in Sunway Carnival Mall ( Seberang Jaya, Penang)
