Job description

All security officers are under the Department of Encore Safety & Security Department which is directly reporting to Encore Melaka Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operation Officer (COO), General Manager (GM) and Security Head of Department.

1. All security officers are:
   • To assist all departments regarding safety and security matters.
   \ assist the Emergency Response Team (ERT) when an emergency situation arises.
2. to assist the hostel warden in any incident inside the hostel area (if required).
3. All security officers are to manage:
   • communication with outsource security company to ensure smooth running of daily operations.
   • IOC and occupy it alln
   • all keys of building (Theatre, Hostel, Parking and Office) and control the use of keys to all access on buildings and security/guard equipment storages.
   • outsource security guards of daily operations duties and attendants.
   • matters related to substitute service draftees, including dividing and allocating tasks for them; supervising their daily life and leaves; evaluating their performance; providing counselling; providing care and support, etc.
4. All security officers are to record:
   • any incident that occurs in the premises.
   • all outsource guard’s details including bio-data and security vetting.
   • investigation of any incident reported by finding proofs and evidence.
   • checking of belongings with approval of upper management.
   • safety briefing to the contractors before doing any works.
   • no security threats towards the company.
   • that all road and parking area are at all times in good order and free from congestion of motor vehicles and other articles or material left there.
   • full awareness of any suspicious activities; if any misconduct, incident or suspicious activities are spotted, the security officer must inform his higher superior to conduct further investigation or any related action.
   • that all Fire Alarm System is functioning and well maintained.
   • that all Electronic Magnetic Lock (EMP) are in good condition and well‑functioning.
