Job description

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the overall physical security for the Broadcom sites in Penang, which currently include a mixed‑use manufacturing site and a finished goods warehouse.
• Be subject‑matter expert for all physical security needs.
• Assist and advise leadership, both local and global, in setting and implementing security and visitor policies, and develop and maintain security training and awareness programs for all new and existing employees and on‑site contractors.
• Manage physical security guard service in accordance with Broadcom Workplace Services (WPS) strategies (currently outsourced).
• Manage the Security Operations Centre (SOC) for the Penang sites and APAC sites when required, providing regular reports and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all security equipment—such as access‑control, digital clocking, access readers, building alarms, CCTV, scanners, etc.—are in good operating condition to support operational needs (most hardware is currently supported by other Broadcom teams).
• Be responsible for security surveillance, incident investigation and reporting.
• Be responsible for the emergency response plan, emergency response team set‑up and related training; support crisis management and contingency planning.
• Stakeholder management.
• Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Batu Kawan & District Police and relevant agencies and authorities.

Other Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager for Penang sites, acting as overall back‑up and on‑site manager at the primary office location for facilities‑management activities.
• Be responsible for the implementation and compliance with Broadcom's Environment and Sustainability Policy and Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
• Penang site coordinator for ISO14001.
• Deliver intra‑ and cross‑functional tasks assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• University degree or major in security management or related fields such as law‑enforcement management, engineering, or other areas with additional qualifications in security related fields.
• Five years or more of supervisory experience in security‑related fields or law enforcement.
• Demonstrated knowledge or hands‑on experience with integrated security access‑control systems such as Lenel and CCure.

Reporting

• Regional WPS; scope would include all Broadcom sites in the APAC region.
